Subject: Global warming?
Current mood: okay

So a lot of people around the Seattle area have been commenting that the recent snow and ice are evidence of "there's no such thing as global warming".

Over the last 5 years Greenland has lost 150-160 gigatons of ice (gigaton = 1 billion tons) per year, while the mountain glaciers in the Gulf of Alaska have lost 84 gigatons of ice per year over the same period. Perhaps if we used science instead of jackassery to form our opinions they'd be um... right.
